[-tʃ], Yuri (Jurij Michajlowitsch), israelischer Dirigent russischer Herkunft, * Leningrad (Sankt Petersburg) 13. 5. 1932; war 1964-72 Chefdirigent des Allunions-Rundfunkorchesters in Moskau, emigrierte dann nach Israel. Ahronovitch leitete 1975-86 das Gürzenich-Orchester in Köln und war 1982-87 Chefdirigent des Stockholmer Philharmonischen Orchesters; trat auch als Operndirigent hervor.
